About this role
Navlyt handles sensitive regulatory and crew data for aviation operators across multiple jurisdictions. Our infrastructure must be reliable, secure, and audit-ready — operators depend on us for compliance tracking that affects regulatory outcomes. We are currently running on Vercel and Supabase with plans to expand regional hosting for EU GDPR compliance.
We are looking for a DevOps engineer who cares about security, reliability, and building systems that do not require constant manual intervention.
What you will do
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines for the React frontend on Vercel and backend edge functions
- Manage Supabase infrastructure including database performance, backup strategy, and regional deployment
- Implement and maintain security practices: secret management, dependency scanning, access controls, penetration testing coordination
- Set up and maintain observability stack: error tracking (Sentry), application monitoring, log aggregation, alerting
- Manage Pinecone vector DB configuration and cost optimization
- Implement EU regional hosting for GDPR compliance as we expand into European markets
- Contribute to SOC 2 Type II readiness and maintain evidence for compliance controls
- Set up multi-environment workflow: development, staging, and production with appropriate data isolation
What we are looking for
- 3 or more years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience
- Experience with Vercel, AWS, or GCP at production scale
- Strong understanding of web application security practices
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
- Familiarity with compliance standards relevant to SaaS (SOC 2, GDPR)
Nice to have
- Experience with Supabase at scale
- Experience managing multi-region SaaS deployments
- Security certifications or background in securing regulated-industry software
- Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools
